Let's go to Boston!

Many things can happen in one week. My experience can prove it.

Last week I was in Boston for 2 days and then I moved to Toronto for 5 days! I love travelling!

Why I loved Boston...

It is a really nice city! I was particularly surprised because I was expecting a city like New York, but smaller. Actually, I was wrong: Boston and New York are really different!

Compared to New York, life in this city seems to be much more quiet. People look relaxed and the city in itself is not too noisy and polluted.

The architecture as well is different. The buildings are not as high as in New York and when you walk through the city, you can really feel that Boston has a soul and a deep history. Indeed, many immigrants from Europe and the rest of the world arrived in this city during the 19th century, to establish in the United States.

A few recommendations...

I would advise you to buy the Boston City Pass ($46) which includes 5 main places to visit: the New England Aquarium, the Museum of Science, the Skywalk observatory, the Museum of Fine Arts and Harvard Museum of National History or the Old State House. It is worth to buy it if you plan to visit at least two out of the fiveattractions.

First we visited the Aquarium. It is relatively small but you had a lot of different species so it remains interesting. The specificity of this aquarium, according to me, is that the staff lets you touch some species. It is really interactive, specially for children!

The Skywalk observatory gives a beautiful view of Boston but I would recommend to visit it during the day, so that you can see all the different buildings.

The following day we went to Harvard University. There, we had a free tour guide by a student. Really interesting! Because it is old, it has a certain charm and because it is Harvard, I would recommend everybody to visit this place!

We spent only two days in Boston and I think three days would have been better. There are many places, streets, shops, markets to visit.

If you look for a hostel, you should go to Hostelling International Boston. It is well located, very pleasant, cheap and you have a generous breakfast!
